After a malicious youngster starts a rumor about the two women running a boarding school, the rumor soon turns to scandal. As the young girl comes to understand the power she wields, she sticks by her story, which precipitates tragedy for the women. It is later discovered that the gossip was pure invention, but it is too late. Irreparable damage has been done.
THE CHILDREN’S HOUR opened Friday, January 10th, 2025 at the Cyrus Pavilion Theatre on the University of Maine campus in Orono and ran through January 19th (with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm).
